Ebisu's Inbox
[For anyone who is familiar with Ebisu in person, they might be expecting the sound of a cute child on the answering machine.]
[They do not get a cute child's voice.]
[Instead, it's the voice of a young man, speaking calmly and professionally.]
Hello. You have reached the personal phone and temple of Ebisu, one of the Gods of Fortune. He and his shinki are currently busy right now, so please leave a message and someone will respond back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you, and have a nice day.

There's a note in hiragana, though the writing is carefuk and therefore near.
Dear Ebisu, mister Kimi, mister Kuwami and mister Kunimi
Happy Christmas, I hope you all like cupcakes.
I don't think you can eat them with chopsticks though they are too big.

If you're going to play you need some toys. Merry Christmas. -Adrien
[ And when the trunk is opened there are toys upon toys stuffed inside. It's a wide assortment. A few stuffed animals like a panda and a black cat. There are games, cards, silly string, bubbles, color books, crayons, markers, clay and play dough, small safe kid friendly craft books including one on origami.]

Greetings,
My name is Ginia, shinki to CĂș Chulainn. We have spoken previously on the network and I've attended one of your open seminars. I also assisted your shinki, Kimi, with a prayer.
I humbly come to you seeking information on a delicate subject relating to the history of the Far Shore. It is in relation to masks capable of controlling ayakashi. I would like to speak at your earliest convenience, if that is permissible.
Sincerely,
Ginia

I do hope I haven't messaged you at a bad time.
However, I am hoping to begin with the lessons we have talked about before in return of me doing work for you as well.

15th January - requesting a random Ebisu shinki!
Which might be a challenge, since it's Ebisu's temple. So she will settle for someone she can just simply interrupt ]
Excuse me- I've been busy looking after someone. What's the current status?
[ Is there any update? But she knows that just asking for information usually doesn't yield anything. You gotta have something to trade ]
I was on the mountain yesterday and there is something I'd like to report.

Kimi's box is different in that there are two of each flavor, than two plain looking chocolate truffles infused with whiskey.
Any other shinki Ginia's also interacted with and been helped out by also receives a box of four truffles, an assortment of mint, raspberry, or plain chocolate truffles.
On Ebisu's desk is a bouquet of paper and ribbon flowers in a vase and a large box of chocolate. It contains four mint truffles, four raspberry truffles, and four plain chocolate truffles.
They're all homemade and more than one shinki has probably seen her cooking in the kitchen at late or early hours, trying to make everything perfect.
Talk about mixed messages, no?]

March 23rd - Email, Takami
On a scale of 1-10, how bad of an idea is it to post an ad on the network looking for part-time workers among the new shinki and gods?
Thanks,
Jitsumi

March 23rd - Email, Ebisu, CC Kunimi, Unmi
If the trend of the last few months hold true, we are due for new arrivals within the next few days. With your permission, I would like to distribute flyers at the training session and post an ad on the network seeking part-time workers.
Please let me know if I should proceed.
Sincerely,
Jitsumi

As I told her, I'm pretty experienced. I've been involved in student government and worked for a government agency. I'm just seventeen, but I have a lot to offer, as far as experience goes, and could be a big help in the field of security, office work, media, and general support. If you're willing to grant me an opportunity, I'd much appreciate it.
[Attached: A list of Chris's responsibilities at her school, Lydian Academy, clubs and organizations she belonged to (archery, student government, festival planning committee), and a very very generalized list of what she did at her "government job", including "physical training", "minor espionage", and "threat response", "search and rescue" as well as things like "skill with firearms and other projectile weapons" and "acrobatics".]
[Luger definitely helped her write this.]

[With 100% less "awkwardly staring at you before realizing who you are," this time.]
By trade, I am a performer. A singer. Before you ask, yes - I have inquired to Shikyoin Hibiki in that department. But I need more to work with, in the meantime.
Beyond that, I am quite skilled in a number of other fields.
[Attached, Ebisu is going to find a resume that ... turns out to be very, very similar to Chris above. With an addition of her singing career and a prowess as a mechanic, sub out "skill with firearms and other projectile weapons" with "skilled in swordsmanship" and it's nearly identical, in fact.
She didn't need her shinki to help write it, though.]Ginia seemed to think something in media, manufacturing, or tourism may fit, but should you decide to take me on, I shall leave such things to your discretion.

The day after the Very Special Beach Episode
As food is the most common form of omiyage, Ginia comes with plenty. Six cookie gift sets ensures everyone will have a chance to sample the cookies. There are also several sets of chocolate bars in assorted flavors, boxes of chocolate covered macadamia nuts, and full flats of fresh pineapples and mangoes.
There are individual presents too.
Ebisu receives a floral arrangement (and Kunimi the gift of keeping it watered).
Unmi receives a glass jellyfish paperweight.
Aomi receives a wood box.
Kiwami receives a set of plates with koi as well as a fish folded from palm leaves.
Takami receives two flower dishes and a small set of truffles.
Kimi receives a leather and silver bracelet with a card explaining the meaning of the symbol ("to fulfill, to complete, to come to pass, to succeed"). When she sees him later that day, she'll also place a yellow and white lei around his neck.
Also the day after the Very Special Beach Episode
When you have a moment, I have more questions about the night of the raid and how Ebisu controlled ayakashi.

Omiyage after the beach trip
Since food is the general gift of choice, a couple crates of premium Kona coffee beans are delivered and one crate of a selection of wines for the moments everyone needs a glass. Ebisu gets a set of macadamia nut chocolates for himself. Compliments of Waver, and by extension, Iskandar's temple.
For Waver's two friends among the old shinki, he includes a small personal gift too. There's a set of cufflinks for Terumi and concentrated perfumes for Natsumi.]

A letter at his temple
You are invited to Gegute's library (Elfnein's temple) on the 29th of April for a party! It is going to be a book party so you can bring your best book or even dress up as your favourite character!
You can bring all your shinki too if you want and any other friends! There will be tasty food to eat!
See you there!
Romeo and Elfnein

[ Obi could sound professional but.. Yeah no he probably couldn't sound professional unless he actually really wanted to. Well. At least he doesn't sound his least unprofessional. ]
This is Obi, we've talked before on occasion. Anyway, I spoke to Miss Ginia a little earlier and she said you're looking for people to help out and such, and suggested I contact you for an appointment if I was interested to help in any way.
[ Plus there was other topics he wanted to talk to Ebisu about but this is his primary topic for the time being. ]
