[There's a box left at Ebisu's temple with four very enthusiastically decorated cupcakes. They are a riot of colour and have far too much icing on them, but they actually don't taste too bad for a first attempt.

There's a note in hiragana, though the writing is carefuk and therefore near.

I don't think you can eat them with chopsticks though they are too big.

[Christmas sure is a thing that just about the entirety of Ebisu's temple forgot about, at least in the traditional sense that Romeo has clearly been taught about. That means there's some bemusement at the gift, followed by some select scrambling. It's only polite, after all, to reciprocate a gift!]

[That's why, by the time he returns to his own temple, Romeo will find two boxes addressed to him, wrapped up neatly and with large bows. The first will contain a few things for him: a bento box with bird decorations on its top, a pair of chopsticks to match, and a little seal chopstick rest. The other box contains another bento box, this one purely with a cherry blossom design and a pair of fine wooden chopsticks as well.]

[There are also two notes! One from Ebisu, thanking Romeo for the gifts and that he hopes that he has a good Christmas and New Years. The other is from Kimi, who makes sure to tell him that the cupcakes were delicious, and to keep practicing using his chopsticks. If he does well, Kimi promises to teach him how to make food for his god that she's sure to like, and that they can pack in the boxes for when spring comes.]

[ On the evening of the 24th, if anyone is watching Ebisu's temple they might see a leather clad figure dropping off a heavy wooden trunk at the door. There's a series of dark green and gold ribbons around it the little god's name written on one of them and a note card attached: ]

[ And when the trunk is opened there are toys upon toys stuffed inside. It's a wide assortment. A few stuffed animals like a panda and a black cat. There are games, cards, silly string, bubbles, color books, crayons, markers, clay and play dough, small safe kid friendly craft books including one on origami.]

15th January - requesting a random Ebisu shinki!

[ The chaos is still going on strong, given the mountain is on fire. But Satya's god is in a deep - worrying - sleep, but she is not someone who can just sit and wait for him to wake up. She will go looking- looking for someone not currently being terribly busy.

Which might be a challenge, since it's Ebisu's temple. So she will settle for someone she can just simply interrupt ]

Excuse me- I've been busy looking after someone. What's the current status?

I was on the mountain yesterday and there is something I'd like to report.

[If there's any fortunate news, it's that there is always someone on the ground floor watching over the main doors to see who is entering. Today, it's Kiwami- a man with pale brown hair and a look of concentration from where he's looking over multiple laptops settled alongside the main desktop computer down at the secretarial desk in the waiting area. He looks up at the sound of someone entering, pausing from where he's typing onto something.]

Lava has begun to flow down from the volcano. It appears that gas is still a prevalent threat throughout the Far Shore, and the young master has left to spread supplies.

[It looks like he's about to go back to his work, but he pauses at her mention of a report.]

What is it?

[ Ugh, looks like they know about the gas already. There goes her mighty report unless- unless maybe her piece of information might be useful anywa ]y.

It's about the gases and the fissures. They are strong and shoot high into the atmosphere- [ Which is something they probably already know, though the part of going high is not important if you don't fly ] -you are probably already aware of it, but I infer it's better to report anyway. Those vapors had unexpected effects on my god - causing unrest and hallucinations. I am unsure if they will have any other side-effects, but I'm monitoring his state through his rest.

[ Better to share and find out the information is known, or to keep it and then it turns out no one else knew and more victims suffer ]

Perhaps those going there should use equipment like breathing apparatus. [ Or magic ]

We had been mostly concerned with physical effects such as what they could do to lungs. Hallucinogenic properties make this situation all the worse.

[ She finds really easy to operate all kinds of modern devices, and even had to explain her god "what is internet". That sure was a trip. ]

If you can't spare a station- [ Security and all that. Also awkward potentially having to log-in into someone's account ] I have a tablet with a full professional office suite on me.

Third floor. Aomi will give you more indepth instructions, but it will essentially involve data entry. Perhaps more depending on how things go.

[After all, if she's good with numbers, well... That's a valuable skill anywhere in the temple.]

[On the morning of the 14th, small square boxes wrapped in metallic silver wrapping paper and tied off with red ribbons are left on Kunimi, Takami, Kimi, Aomi, Unmi, and Kiwami's desks. Inside all of them are six chocolate truffles, three with dried raspberry on the top and three with a swirl of mint.

Kimi's box is different in that there are two of each flavor, than two plain looking chocolate truffles infused with whiskey.

Any other shinki Ginia's also interacted with and been helped out by also receives a box of four truffles, an assortment of mint, raspberry, or plain chocolate truffles.

On Ebisu's desk is a bouquet of paper and ribbon flowers in a vase and a large box of chocolate. It contains four mint truffles, four raspberry truffles, and four plain chocolate truffles.

They're all homemade and more than one shinki has probably seen her cooking in the kitchen at late or early hours, trying to make everything perfect.

Talk about mixed messages, no?]
